Farmhouse Snowman | Crochet Pattern PDF
Crochet a rustic snowman for your Christmas mantel with this Farmhouse Snowman PDF pattern. The design pairs a ridged white wool body with a cheerful red top hat, forked twig arms, and a natural jute bow. Make one as a handmade Christmas gift or crochet the reverse color way for a matching pair.
The 18-page English PDF includes round-by-round instructions and stitch counts, illustrated guides for working the raised ridges and fitting the hat, and instructions for attaching the twig arms and tying the jute bow. The pattern uses US crochet terminology and includes both color ways.
Digital product — Your purchase includes a PDF crochet pattern. No finished snowman or physical items will be shipped.
| Colorway | Body and hat | Target finished height |
|---|---|---|
| Classic | White body with red top hat | 12–13 in / 30.5–33 cm |
| Reverse | Red body with white top hat | 12–13 in / 30.5–33 cm |
Height is measured with the hat fitted. Your finished size may vary with yarn, gauge, and stuffing.
Skill level — Intermediate. You’ll work in continuous spiral rounds, hold two strands together, and use third-loop half double crochet to create the raised ridges. The body is worked in one piece, and the top hat is crocheted separately.
Materials — Use #5 bulky wool with an 8 mm hook for the body and #4 worsted acrylic with a 6.5 mm hook for the hat. Hold two strands together for each part. The PDF gives a starting allowance of one 100 g hank of wool for the body, with a spare matching hank on hand, and 30–40 g of acrylic for the hat. You’ll also need polyester stuffing, a large blunt tapestry needle, scissors, locking stitch markers, a tape measure, a kitchen scale, two clean dry forked twigs, fine sandpaper, and about 1.5 m of natural jute twine. A plastic-canvas base disc is optional.
Display — For indoor decoration. Keep the finished piece away from young children, pets, and heat sources.
Pattern usage rights — You may sell the snowmen you make by hand. Design credit to VEYLA CROCHET is appreciated. The PDF and its written instructions are for the purchaser’s own use.
NOTE — We’ll send the PDF pattern to the email address you used at checkout within 3 to 5 hours of purchase. If you have any questions, please contact our customer support team.
